Moreover, we are a mobile Academy where the teacher always travels to you. Also, we operate in all corners of the globe. We offer private training where the teacher comes to you. For your satisfaction, we allow a maximum of 12 students per course to ensure everyone gets the teachers attention. Uniquely, students get to practice their skills in their place of work. As a result, they learn fast and will be able to hit the ground running when we leave.

All British Butler Academy teachers have at least 10 years experience in their specific expert field. Our teachers are trained by our master trainers at the Butler Academy’s HQ. The British Butler Academy is a Franchise so we make sure that the standard or training is identical anywhere in the world that you train with the British Butler Academy. The teachers have regular reviews with our management to ensure that they are always up to date with their teaching skills and therefor able to offer you elite training at all times.

You should wear smart attire, suitable to the type of work you do. For example, you can wear black bottoms, white shirt and black shoes. However, it is important that you are comfortable and can move freely as the training we conduct is practical. Please wear your hair up and limit any make up. Cover up any tattoos and piercings. Be hygienic and clean.

The Butler Academy trains all types of domestic and hotel staff as well as yacht crew. The academy is open to the public who wish to enter this exciting field of work. It is also suitable for those who opt to excel in their current service role.

To ensure that the students get the most out of our courses, our programme offers practical hands-on training in a real life setting. This ensures a high quality training model and we make sure that all students learn all the skills inside and out. We also offer theoretical knowledge by discussion. Moreover, all students will get their own PDF handbook.

All courses we offer are tailor-made. This means that training can run from 2 days up to 14 days or as per your specific requirments.

The British Butler Academy is based in The Strand London. However, we are a mobile Academy that travels across the UK and around the Globe to conduct training courses. Uniquely, we offer training at clients homes, onboard luxury yachts, in students homes or places of work.

There is no entry criteria other than a genuine willingness to serve and a passion for the industry. The Butler Academy’s courses are suited to all ages and all people interested in working as a Butler or excelling in the Butler or Private service/Hotel service/Yacht industry.

You should be 18 to join the British Butler Academy or be 16 with a parent certificate.

The certificates you gain from us are recognised worldwide and will likely help you find a job or improve your CV fast. We are the only service training academy accredited by The British Butler Association.

Although we do not give refunds, all our students are welcome to contact the teacher with questions after the training is completed. As a result, we can almost guarantee 100% satisfaction.

The completion certificates will be handed out at the end of the course and are very sought after in the industry. Everyone who participates at the British Butler Academy gets an attendance certificate. We can sometimes offer formal assessments (theoretical or practical) if you wish at an extra charge.

If our teacher or the Academy management believe that you were a great student and deserve an endorsement from the British Butler Academy then we may provide you with a reference. This is, however at the discretion of the director, manager or teacher.

The British Butler Academy is also a domestic staff recruitment agency. Once you have trained with us, we may be able to find you a suitable position or internship. However, there is no guarantee.

A butler can work in a private or corporate setting. It is the butler’s responsibility to understand the guests needs. He/she is in charge of making sure they are kept happy at all times. This can be a tall order and requires utmost confidence, patience, training and excellence. You will need to be able to trouble shoot and problem solve. You will need to think one step ahead.
