About the Author
Sara Vestin Rahmani is the founder of the British Butler Academy and Bespoke Bureau, with more than 23 years’ experience in private household recruitment and professional service training.
Her work across private households, luxury hospitality and international training assignments has given her a practical understanding of the standards employers expect and the challenges service professionals encounter.
Sara’s approach combines attention to detail and discretion with an understanding of people, and every handbook brings that perspective to the page.
Handbook or Course?
Our handbooks are professional reference guides. They do not include an assessment or a certificate.
If you would like hands-on training and a certificate, book one of our courses at the British Butler Academy. Training takes place in private homes, hotels and on yachts, and students receive a certificate of attendance.
Many professionals use a handbook to prepare before a course, or as a reference to return to afterwards.

Why Learn with the British Butler Academy
The British Butler Academy places attentive service, discretion and professional responsibility at the centre of everything we teach. Our handbooks bring that perspective to a broad range of service settings, from private residences and hotels to corporate workplaces and customer-facing businesses.
The content is built on more than two decades of placing and training household staff through Bespoke Bureau, so it reflects the standards employers actually expect.
The emphasis is on service that is thoughtful in its delivery and reliable in its execution, with standards that professionals can understand, apply and sustain.
